Mythology
Mythology makes up for a rather large part of Latin literature, for the gods and goddesses were the Romans' way of explaining physical events (e.g. The sun rose and set everyday because Apollo drove the sun across the sky in his chariot). Mythology takes an interesting role in Latin, and is definitely worth the study.
